Description An organization in 18974 is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a long-term contract position. This position is 100% on-site and will start immediately pending background checks. This position is responsible for managing and administering payroll operations using a software called Skyward and Excel, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, district policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Key duties include processing payroll, maintaining records, preparing tax filings and reports, managing retirement and benefits programs, performing system checks for accuracy, and ensuring timely disbursement of paychecks and tax documents. The role also involves orienting new employees on payroll matters, assisting with budget preparation, and maintaining confidential records securely. Expertise in payroll procedures and continuous improvement for efficiency and accuracy are essential. Experience processing payroll is required. Experience using Skyward is highly preferred.
