Your responsibilities in this role
-Ensure that the company’s financials are maintained and are in compliance where appropriate with US GAAP, including monthly account analysis and report in line with US and Group month end timetable.
-Lead and execute the month end close process activities, including but not limited to: Revenue recognition adherence, WIP Analysis, intercompany accounting, Monthly / Quarterly reporting packs, P& L review, variance analysis, trend reporting, KPI tracking, ad hoc reporting as requested
-Perform actual versus budget and prior year trending analysis for the locations on a monthly basis. Provide a challenge to operational teams to drive cost base improvements where needed.
-Lead forecasting and budgeting activities, including but not limited to: Customer and department revenue build-up, expense tracking, balance sheet and cashflow build-up, and capital spend forecasting.
-Monitor and forecast cash needs on an ongoing basis, including a monthly thirteen week cashflow forecast.
-Partner with operations and comemrical on capital investment business cases, execution and spend tracking.
-Manage staff performance, development, and engagement.
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Microsoft Excel experience desired
-Multi-entity controller experience a must (they have 4 business units)
-MS Dynamics AX – plus experience preferred – moving to Dynamics 365 this year
