Description
We are offering a contract/project opportunity for a Medical File Clerk in Warrior, Alabama, United States. The role involves managing and maintaining medical files, utilizing various software and systems, and performing data entry tasks. This role is an integral part of our team and plays a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our medical records department.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain medical files in an organized and efficient manner
• Utilize Allscripts and Medisoft software for various tasks
• Perform billing functions and claim administration as required
• Prepare and interpret charts and graphs for medical data
• Assist in clinical trial operations when necessary
• Conduct data entry tasks with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to legal documentation requirements
• Respond to requests for medical records, ensuring all requests are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner
• Work closely with medical staff to ensure all records are accurate and complete
• Regularly audit, update, and manage medical records as per standard policies and regulations.
Requirements • Proficiency in using medical software systems such as Allscripts and Medisoft
• Ability to perform billing functions accurately and efficiently
• Experience in managing and interpreting charts and graphs
• Proficient in claim administration and processing
• Knowledgeable in clinical trial operations and their documentation
• Exceptional data entry skills with a high level of accuracy
• Previous experience in a medical file clerk role or a similar position is preferred
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in all work
• Ability to handle confidential patient information with discretion
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and systems in a fast-paced environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, medical professionals, and staff effectively.
