Description

We are seeking a highly motivated FP& A Analyst to join our team and support the financial planning and analysis needs of our manufacturing plant. This role will play a crucial part in our costing initiatives, financial reporting, KPI development, ad hoc analysis, and the financial integration of newly acquired businesses. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance or accounting, exceptional analytical skills, and a keen understanding of manufacturing cost structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Costing and Financial Analysis

  • Support the development and maintenance of accurate standard costs and analyze cost variances.

  • Collaborate with plant operations to evaluate cost drivers, identify cost-saving opportunities, and enhance profitability.

  • Analyze product costing, inventory valuation, and bill of materials to provide actionable insights.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare, review, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the plant, including budget vs. actual variance analysis.

  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, partnering with both plant and corporate finance teams.

  • Assist with forecast updates and provide insights to enhance predictability of financial performance.

KPI Development and Monitoring

  • Design, establish, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor plant performance and support decision-making.

  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to communicate KPI results to plant management and executive teams.

  • Identify trends and improvement opportunities and recommend actions to meet or exceed financial targets.

Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis to support plant initiatives and operational decisions, including "what if" scenarios, ROI calculations, and capital expenditure evaluations.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop customized reports and analyses as needed.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) Support

  • Participate in the financial integration of newly acquired businesses, ensuring accurate and timely assimilation into company financials.

  • Conduct due diligence, including financial assessments of acquisitions, to identify cost synergies and operational improvements.

  • Support post-acquisition financial reporting and alignment of KPIs with company standards.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA/CMA certification preferred.

  • 3+ years of FP& A experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles and financial reporting.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and ERP systems; experience with BI tools is a plus.

  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with both plant and corporate teams.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in M& A financial analysis and integration within a manufacturing context.
