Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Warwick, Rhode Island

Description We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to be a part of our team based in Warwick, Rhode Island. The role revolves around the processing and recording of financial transactions and data related to accounts payable, with a focus on maintaining an organized and efficient workflow. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity in an environment where your skills in 'Accounts Payable (AP)', 'Code Invoices', and 'Data Entry' will be highly utilized.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently handle accounts payable and data entry tasks to ensure smooth financial operations.

• Tackle the accounts payable inbox, ensuring all relevant documents and transactions are processed and recorded in a timely manner.

• Assist in reducing the backlog of accounts payable, contributing to a well-organized and efficient financial system.

• Regularly monitor customer accounts, taking necessary actions to address issues and maintain healthy customer relationships.

• Ensure accurate coding of invoices as part of the accounts payable process.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate customer credit records, contributing to the overall integrity and reliability of our financial data.

• Address customer inquiries related to accounts payable, providing timely and accurate information.

• Participate in the processing of customer credit applications, ensuring they are handled accurately and promptly. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) processes and procedures

• Ability to efficiently code invoices with accuracy

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail

• Possess excellent organizational and multitasking skills

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles

• Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records

• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other accounting software

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions.
