Robert Half Accounts Receivable Specialist in Warwick, Rhode Island
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist in Warwick, Rhode Island. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the accounting functions of our operation, with a focus on accounts receivable, cash handling, and construction accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date customer credit records
• Regularly send out aging reports to relevant stakeholders
• Handle cash activity reports accurately and timely
• Support the year-end audit process actively and efficiently
• Utilize construction software such as Sage 300, Procore, and Office 365 for various tasks
• File important documents and data for easy retrieval and future reference
• Record book sales and report them to the appropriate departments
• Respond and resolve customer inquiries related to accounts receivable. Requirements • Proficiency in accounting functions
• Experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Adept at handling cash activity
• Prior experience in cash handling
• Familiarity with construction accounting is preferred
• Ability to generate and analyze aging reports
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
