Description
Robert Half is currently seeking a Loan Servicing Support Specialist for our client based in Warwick, RI. This role is responsible for performance of support duties related to the processing and servicing of consumer loans. These tasks include necessary processes to maintain accurate system records, payment postings, legal documents, and customer communication. If you are a detail-oriented, organized, and driven individual this is the Loan Servicing Support position for you!
Responsibilities
Processes adjustments on loans, advances, and payments
Check for completeness and accuracy of loan documentation
Answer customer inquiries efficiently and accurately, which may include generating loan payoff letters
Manage loan maintenance, including modifications, extensions and required changes in core processing system
Correct credit reporting errors and respond to credit reporting disputes
Research misapplied or missing loan payments
Prepares escrow payments for property taxes, insurance, and association dues
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required (AA/BA/BS in Accounting, finance or economics preferred)
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
Strong proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Program skills required
Comfort working in a highly confidential and compliance driven environment
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as high attention to detail
