Robert Half Attorney/Lawyer in Washington, District Of Columbia
Description We are seeking an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team based in Washington, District of Columbia. In this role, you will play a critical part in our law firm, focusing on government contracts. You will handle various tasks such as managing bid protests, handling claims under the Contracts Dispute Act, and ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
Responsibilities:
• Handle government contract bid protests effectively and efficiently
• Manage claims under the Contracts Dispute Act
• Ensure strict compliance with FAR
• Provide legal advice and support on issues related to government contracts
• Represent the firm in legal proceedings, if necessary
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on government contract law
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure legal compliance and risk management
• Participate in the development of firm policies and procedures related to government contract law
• Provide training to the team on legal matters related to government contracts
• Participate in negotiations with clients and other parties and ensure the protection of the firm's interest. Requirements • Possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Must be licensed to practice law in the state
• Proven experience as a lawyer, preferably with a focus in civil litigation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and high ethical standards
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Proficient in legal research and document drafting
• Strong negotiation and mediation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
• Knowledge of legal software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent interpersonal skills for client relations
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with law changes.
