Description
Our client is a healthcare non-profit focused on equitable outcomes across diverse populations of patients. The organization is seeking their first CFO, as they continue to grow and receive federal funding. The CFO must have strong analytical, strategic-planning, operational and communication skills, including an ability to work well with the CEO, board members and other senior executives. Candidates with a combination of industry and public accounting knowledge are preferred. This role will be both high-level/strategic and very hands-on with day to day financial operations.
What you get to do every day
Handle all relationships with vendors
Verify that staff comply with state and federal laws and company's policies
Provide strategic management of the accounting and finance functions
Supervise finance personnel
Supervise accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
Oversee hiring, training, and retention of finance and accounting staff
Examine the organization's operations and determine if cash flow is appropriate
Ensure the integrity of a company's financial information and suggest improvements
Manage upgrades and implementations for financial systems
Oversee independent auditor relationships
Recognize and control insurance requirements and business risks

Requirements
MBA, CPA, CGMA or CMA preferred
5+ years' management experience
Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
Superb organizational and leadership skills required
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Public accounting experience a plus
-Experience with non-profit Single Audit/Federal Grant compliance
7+ years' experience in accounting or finance
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company
