Description
We are in need of a Contracts Attorney to join our IT Software team, based in Washington, District of Columbia. As a Contracts Attorney, you will be responsible for managing various legal aspects including drafting and reviewing commercial contracts, ensuring contract compliance, and negotiating contracts in a remote setting. Responsibilities:
• Draft, review, and revise commercial contracts related to our Software as a Service (SaaS) offerings
• Ensure contract compliance with laws and regulations
• Manage contract negotiation processes to ensure beneficial outcomes
• Handle document management duties, maintaining organized and accurate records of all contracts and related legal documents
• Advise on privacy law matters as they relate to our contracts and agreements
• Collaborate with other departments to understand company needs and translate them into contract requirements
• Identify potential legal issues within contracts and work to resolve them
• Provide legal assistance during the busy season, supplementing the existing team's capabilities
• Work remotely while maintaining effective communication with the team and stakeholders.
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Contracts Attorney role within the IT Software industry
• Proficiency in Document Management, SaaS, Commercial Contracts, Contract Compliance, Contract Management, and Contract Negotiation
• Demonstrated expertise in Privacy Law
• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and a valid license to practice law
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other legal software.
