Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description

We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our IT Services team based in Washington, District of Columbia. The primary function of this role is to manage all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, balance sheet reconciliations, employee timesheets, payroll, and financial reporting. The role requires strong Quickbooks experience and is 100% in office.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accounts payable and receivable duties, which include invoicing clients, tracking payments, collections, and resolving any billing discrepancies.

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Perform account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.

• Manage employee timesheets and payroll to ensure compliance with all payroll tax regulations.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks.

• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.

• Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and answering inquiries.

• Stay up to-date with financial concepts and best practices in the field of accounting.

• Familiarity with governmental accounting principles would be beneficial.

Requirements

Requirements: 100% in office

  • 3 + year experience in bookkeeping

  • Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel

  • Degree is preferred

  • Strong Accounts Payable and Receivable Experience

  • Strong purchase order experience
