HR Specialist Learning & Development Washington, D.C.

$75k, 401(k), bonus, remote hybrid, Management Consultant Firm

My client is a fast growing international Management Consulting firm located in Washington, D.C. with a need for a Human Resources Learning & Development Specialist. The Human Resources Learning & Development Specialist will join an experienced HR Team and will be primarily responsible for developing performance review programs, career track programs, and analyzing retention and talent development strategies for the firm. The HR Learning & Development Specialist would lead the Learning & Development for the Washington, D.C. office, including, but not limited to professional development, performance management, retention, and compliance for all employees.

HR Learning & Development Specialist will be task with:

▪ Administer effective and appropriate systems for performance appraisal, changes to remuneration, promotions, and professional development for all employees

▪ Ensure all managers and team members understand and follow HR systems and processes

▪ Ensure new hires have probation targets in place, follow up with practice leaders throughout the probation, and prepare for and coordinate end of probation meetings

▪ Ensure all employees have professional development plans (PDPs) with measurable and aligned goals

▪ Help staff identify their training and coaching needs and how they can fill those skills and knowledge gaps

▪ Oversee visa applications or renewals for existing staff

▪ Design, assemble, and distribute training resources and facilitate employee training

▪ Design and promote company-wide initiatives for learning and development to enhance a cohesive and harmonious culture

▪ Ensure that under-performing team members are identified and work with managers to help employees improve their performance through performance improvement

plans (PIPs)

▪ Serve as an internal coach and consultant to team members and managers in employee relations situations and disciplinary action for performance and policy issues

3 + Human Resources, with 2 years experience in Learning & Development

BS/BA degree in Human Resources, Business or similar field of study

Experience working for a consultant firm is a plus

Proficient in MS Office
