Robert Half HR Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an HR Specialist in Washington, District of Columbia. The role primarily involves dealing with benefits enrollment, client interaction, verifying vendor invoices and providing customer service. You will also be tasked with assisting employees with open enrollment, changes in benefits plans, and discussing benefits options and different carriers.

Responsibilities:

• Managing benefits enrollment processes and assisting employees during open enrollment periods

• Interacting with clients on a regular basis to address their HR related concerns and queries

• Verifying vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and resolving any discrepancies

• Providing top-notch customer service to both internal and external stakeholders

• Discussing benefits options and different carriers with employees to assist them in making informed decisions

• Changing enrollment in benefits plans as per employee requests or organizational policies

• Utilizing HRIS (Human Resources Info Systems) for efficient management of employee data and benefits administration

• Coordinating benefits and ensuring compliance with the Employee Benefit Plan

• Administering compensation and benefits in accordance with organizational policies

• Utilizing skills in HR tools such as UltiPro HRIS and UKG Pro for effective HR management. Requirements • Proven experience in HR Specialist role or similar.

• Strong knowledge of Compensation Administration and Hiring Processes.

• Familiarity with Open Enrollment procedures.

• Solid understanding of Benefits Administration and Benefits Coordination.

• Experience with Compensation & Benefits, Employee Benefit Program, and Employee Benefit Plan.

• Ability to manage Insurance Benefits and HRIS - Human Resources Info Systems.

• Proficiency in using HRIS System and UltiPro HRIS.

• Knowledge of UKG Pro software is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Professional certification in HR (e.g. PHR, SPHR, SHRM) is preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of current employment laws and regulations.

• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
