Robert Half Operations Manager in Washington, District Of Columbia
Description We are seeking an Operations Manager to join our team. This role is based in Washington, D.C. and is an integral part of our nonprofit organization. The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing programs, and leading people management and system management processes.
Responsibilities:
• Spearhead and enhance the development of strategic operational plans.
• Provide guidance and support to the Executive Director.
• Successfully build and implement procedures and policies.
• Oversee and follow up on the execution of projects.
• Oversee the performance of contractors.
• Lead the annual planning and budget process.
• Act as a liaison for the Executive Director in meetings and events.
• Be responsible for payroll and benefits and other matters related to financial procedures, vendors, and contractors. Requirements • Proficiency in managing and preparing annual budgets
• Strong organizational capabilities and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated experience or interest in working with start-ups
• Adequate knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with various departments
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain high levels of accuracy in work
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field would be a plus
• Previous experience in an accounting clerk role or similar would be advantageous
