Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant in Washington, District of Columbia. This role is crucial within our team, focusing on accounts payable and billing within the telecom industry. The position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the processing of cash receipts for operating and IOLTA accounts.

• Engage with attorneys, employees, and clients to address any accounts receivable inquiries.

• Perform monthly bank accounts and credit card statements reconciliation.

• Process and record ACH payments accurately.

• Establish new vendor accounts and manage existing vendor records.

• Investigate and resolve any vendor-related issues.

• Record journal entries in the General Ledger accurately.

• Compile monthly billing reports for review and analysis.

• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, Daily Cash Receipts, and Credit card accounting. Requirements

• Must possess a strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Must have a keen understanding of General Ledger operations.

• Demonstrated experience with journal entries is required.

• Experience with account reconciliation is highly preferred.

• Must be able to handle month-end close processes.

• Experience in managing daily cash receipts is desirable.

• Knowledge of credit card accounting is a plus.

• The role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Should be capable of working independently and as part of a team.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve complex problems are needed.

• Must have the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Familiarity with accounting software and applications is a plus.

• Must adhere to all company policies and accounting principles.

• Must demonstrate high levels of integrity and professionalism.
