Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in the healthcare industry, based in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia. The role involves handling the financial aspects of our organization's grants and funding processes, ensuring compliance with grant regulations, tracking fund utilization, and providing financial reporting to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to all compliance requirements throughout the grant lifecycle, including supporting documentation and audit trails.

• Efficiently manage the financial aspects of grants, including budget preparation, expenditure tracking, and fund allocation to various projects.

• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports on grant-funded activities, detailing expenses, revenue, and variances to aid in decision-making.

• Stay updated on grant regulations, terms, and conditions.

• Collaborate with program managers and project teams to analyze grant budgets, provide financial insights, identify potential cost-saving opportunities, and ensure efficient resource allocation.

• Assist in financial aspects of grant proposal development, including budget creation and financial data analysis.

• Ensure compliance with grantor requirements in managing the financial aspects of grants.

• Support in the financial aspects of grant proposal development to enhance the organization's chances of securing grants and funding opportunities.

• Contribute significantly to the success of our grant-funded projects and aid in advancing our mission.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Must have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Proven experience working as a Staff Accountant, preferably in the healthcare industry.

• Proficiency in Grant Accounting and Grant Management.

• Experience with Foundation Grants, Government Grants, and Federal Grants is essential.

• Excellent financial reporting skills, including Annual Financial Reporting.

• Expertise in Financial Reconciliation and Financial Reporting.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office Suite.

• Must have a strong ethical standard and integrity.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
