Robert Half Cash Application Specialist in Waterbury, Connecticut
Description We are seeking a Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Waterbury, Connecticut. This role will involve working within a high volume manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling cash activities, billing functions, and cash applications. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and process accounts receivable and automated clearing house (ACH) transactions
• Utilize accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools to maintain accurate records
• Handle cash applications and ensure all cash activity is recorded and reconciled accurately
• Leverage CRM and Crystal Reports to manage customer data and generate necessary reports
• Use Great Plains (GPAC) system for various accounting tasks
• Ensure all billing functions are carried out efficiently and effectively
• Address and resolve any customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take necessary actions to collect delinquent payments
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications efficiently. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or related field
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
• Proficiency in billing functions
• Strong understanding of cash activity and cash applications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred
