Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team in Waterbury, Connecticut. This role involves overseeing day-to-day accounting and finance operations, with a focus on delivering timely and accurate financial reports. This is a short term contract employment opportunity in the finance industry.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the overall accounting process
• Ensure timely month-end close procedures
• Handle reporting tasks, ensuring consistency and accuracy
• Manage the preparation and maintenance of journal entries
• Oversee account reconciliation tasks for accuracy
• Develop and manage the company's budgets
• Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks
• Ensure compliance with accounting and financial standards
• Coordinate with different departments to gather and analyze financial data
• Identify and implement strategies for financial performance improvement. Requirements • Proficiency in month-end close operations
• Expertise in preparing and reviewing journal entries
• Ability to perform comprehensive account reconciliation
• Proficiency in using NetSuite software for financial operations
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Proven experience in a Controller role or similar position
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Ability to work collaboratively with various departments within the organization.
