Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Watertown, New York
Description We are offering a role in the transport industry, based in Watertown, New York. The position revolves around the job function of an Accounts Receivable Clerk, with a focus on managing cash positing and assisting with account payable processing. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the Accounts Receivable cash posting on a daily basis
• Review and release debit memos created by the purchasing department
• Assist with Accounts Payable processing
• Handle account reconciliation and billing tasks
• Manage cash applications and collections
• Conduct commercial collections as necessary
• Utilize Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP for various tasks
• Maintain accurate customer credit records and resolve credit inquiries
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements • Proficiency in using financial software such as Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Strong skills in Billing, Cash Applications, and Cash Collections
• Familiarity with Commercial Collections processes and best practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel for finance-related tasks
• Ability to perform tasks under minimal supervision
• High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial records
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and other departments
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
