Description
Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting and a keen eye for detail. The Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations by accurately applying cash receipts to customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
Process and apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts accurately and efficiently.
Reconcile cash applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cash applications.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper posting of transactions and resolve any billing or payment inquiries.
Generate reports and provide analysis as needed to support financial decision-making.
Assist with month-end close activities related to cash application processes.
Stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to accounts receivable and cash application processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or cash application role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
