Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting and a keen eye for detail. The Accounts Receivable Cash Application Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations by accurately applying cash receipts to customer accounts and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Process and apply daily cash receipts to customer accounts accurately and efficiently.

  • Reconcile cash applications to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cash applications.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper posting of transactions and resolve any billing or payment inquiries.

  • Generate reports and provide analysis as needed to support financial decision-making.

  • Assist with month-end close activities related to cash application processes.

  • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to accounts receivable and cash application processes.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable or cash application role.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks).

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
