Description

Are you an experienced accounting professional looking for your next leadership opportunity? Robert Half is working with a client who is seeking a dedicated Controller to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will supervise, train, and evaluate accounting staff, providing coaching and mentorship. Your responsibilities will include managing cash flow, developing and implementing accounting policies, overseeing monthly and year-end closings, and preparing financial statements. You will also conduct monthly reconciliations, manage store inventory counts, and offer guidance on budget and spending questions. Additionally, you will coordinate and lead the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors and the leadership team.

To be considered, you should have at least 8 years of progressive accounting experience, a bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience, and a strong understanding of GAAP principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills, is essential, and experience with Epicor software is a plus. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, a proven ability to prioritize and solve problems, and high ethical standards. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Controller role

• Proficiency in Accounting Functions

• Auditing skills and experience

• Comprehensive understanding and experience of Budget Processes

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience in Month End Close processes

• Ability to perform Monthly Reconciliation

• Experience in Audit processes

• Knowledge and understanding of GAAP Accounting

• Excellent communication and leadership skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
