Description

We are seeking a skilled Credit Clerk to join our team in Watsonville, California. This role is situated within the telecom industry and primarily involves the management of accounts receivable. The successful candidate will handle customer credit applications, maintain customer credit records, and engage in the resolution of customer credit inquiries. The role also entails monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate steps to recover delinquent payments.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain updated and precise customer credit records

• Address customer inquiries related to credit in a timely manner

• Regularly monitor customer credit accounts and identify any irregularities

• Take necessary action to collect delinquent payments from customers

• Regularly prepare and issue invoices for all shipments from the plant

• Record all cash receipts, regardless of the method of payment, on the day of receipt

• Review outstanding invoices and communicate with customers to ensure timely payment

• Address any potential delinquent accounts through proactive communication with customers

• Develop and maintain reports and files on the status and processing of accounts receivable, utilizing tools such as Excel and the accounting system.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Billing procedures

• Familiarity with Cash Applications and Cash Collections

• Knowledge in Commercial Collections

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle software

• Familiarity with QuickBooks software

• Proficiency in SAP software

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented and able to work with high levels of accuracy

• Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Previous work experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk is advantageous.
