Description In this role, you will be handling financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Partake in various department-wide initiatives
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests Requirements - Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
Proficiency with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
General familiarity with bank reconciliations
Demonstrated knowledge of Fixed Asset Accounting
Practical knowledge of account reconciliation
Proficiency in Month-end Journal Entries
Adeptness in Sage 100
Manufacturing experience
Solid understanding of Month-end Close Activities
Proper Revenue Recognition experience
Command of Perform Month-end
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Proficient in ERP systems
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
5+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Able to manage time well
Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Strong attention to detail
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
