Robert Half Patient Service Representative in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin
Description We are on the lookout for a Patient Service Representative to join our team in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our outpatient clinic, handling patient registration and managing the main desk. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work within the medical industry and use your skills in a variety of software systems such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, CRM, Crystal Reports, and Dentrix Dental Software.
Responsibilities:
• Manage patient registration and maintain up-to-date patient records
• Efficiently handle inbound calls and respond to patient inquiries
• Utilize various software systems such as Allscripts, Cerner Technologies, CRM, Crystal Reports, and Dentrix Dental Software to perform tasks
• Ensure the efficient operation of the main desk in the outpatient clinic
• Coordinate with medical staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of authorizations and billing functions
• Handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality and in compliance with health industry regulations
• Monitor patient accounts and perform necessary actions for account management
• Create and maintain charts and graphs to aid in patient management and clinic operations
• Ensure the outpatient clinic operates effectively by performing necessary administrative tasks. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a related role
• Proficiency in Allscripts and Cerner Technologies is required
• Experience with CRM and Crystal Reports is desirable
• Familiarity with Dentrix Dental Software is a plus
• Must have experience in answering inbound calls
• Knowledge of authorizations, benefit functions, and billing functions is essential
• Experience in charting and graphing is required
• Prior experience in a medical office is necessary
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• High standard of ethics and professionalism
