Description
Robert Half is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a growing client in the Greater Boston area. This role forms a critical part of the Application Development team doing all new development on a custom core application for the business. This role is hybrid, onsite 4 days a week.
Description:
The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for leading new software development initiatives utilizing modern technologies and frameworks including but not limited to C#, ASP.NET, Web services, Microservices, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Web API, JSON, XML, T-SQL. As an integral part of the Application Development team, the individual will be creating, enhancing, and maintaining complex software systems to meet the needs of their rapidly growing enterprise.
Responsibilities:
Participate in full-cycle application development including requirement analysis, architecture, design, coding, and verification.
Collaborate with internal teams to produce software designs.
Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility.
Implement modern software solutions based on best practices.
Deliver high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code.
Perform thorough testing to ensure maximum performance and quality of applications.
Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize product performance.
Maintain accurate documentation of software design and code.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, Web services, Microservices, Web API, T-SQL, Javascript, HTML/CSS
Strong understanding of software architecture needed
Proven experience with Azure App Service and REST-based API development (ASP.NET Web API).
Familiarity with design principles and software development lifecycles.
Excellent problem-solving abilities.
Good team player with strong communication skills.
