Description
We are in search of a meticulous Tax Manager - Public to join our team based in the Wellesley area, Massachusetts. As a Tax Manager - Public, you will be expected to review tax returns for businesses, individuals, and trusts, conduct research on income tax issues, and maintain effective communication with clients. You will also be responsible for training and developing entry-level staff.
Responsibilities:
• Conducting comprehensive reviews of tax returns for businesses, individuals, and trusts
• Undertaking research on diverse income tax issues and providing solutions
• Maintaining open, effective communication with clients, both written and oral
• Managing multiple projects and requests efficiently
• Demonstrating a strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Utilizing CCH ProSystem fx or Axcess tax software, ProSystem fx Engagement, BNA Income Tax Planner, and common office applications
• Leveraging knowledge of Corporate taxes and S-corp taxes
• Training and developing entry-level staff effectively
• Providing excellent client service and maintaining positive client relationships.
Requirements
• Minimum of three years of experience in the public accounting field
• Proficiency in using CCH ProSystem fx for tax compliance and planning
• Extensive knowledge in public accounting audit and tax
• Experience with income tax audits
• Familiarity with assurance services
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA eligible
• Experience working in a CPA firm or on a CPA track
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong understanding and application of tax laws and regulations
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to oversee and manage a team
• Detail-oriented and organized with a high level of accuracy
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
