Robert Half International Full Charge Bookkeeper in WELLINGTON, Ohio
The strongest candidates for this Full Charge Bookkeeper position will have a background in accounting and be interested in taking on a challenging role with opportunity for advancement. Accountemps is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions with a company in the Automotive industry. This position will require excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. This short-term temporary-to-full-time Full Charge Bookkeeper opportunity is based in Wellington Nt, Ohio.
What you get to do every day
Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including, but not limited to, balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows
Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records
Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules
Ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close
Handling processing tasks for accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections
Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as payroll processing
Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Excel,Quickbooks, and Peachtree experience a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required, and AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business preferred
3+ years of bookkeeping experience
Prior payroll experience preferred
Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner
A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting
Demonstrated knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Yearend closings experience highly desired
Adeptness in Accounts Payable (AP)
Bank reconciliations experience
Deep understanding of general ledger
Solid understanding of full charge bookkeeping
Month end closings experience preferred
Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
Can work independently with minimal supervision
