Robert Half Controller in WEST CHESTER, Ohio


Growing manufacturing company seeking a controller. The controller will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and take charge of all monthly closing (three day) and yearly financials. The controller will be responsible for ad hoc reporting and a M& A experience. The controller will be the right hand to the CEO and will help drive an ERP implementation. Requirements - Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience required

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience highly valued

  • Foundational knowledge in Startup Enviornment

  • Proficiency in Startup Company

  • Earlier work involving payroll for under 100 employees

  • Command of Month-end Close Activities

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Monthly Accruals

  • General ledger experience desired

  • Proficiency in Month-end Financial

  • General familiarity with Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Prior experience with journal entries

  • Adeptness in Monthly Account Reconciliation

  • Journal Entry Preparation experience preferred

  • Knowledge of working in a start-up environment

  • Hands-on experience with Annual Financial Reporting

  • Previous experience working with Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Comprehension of Bill of materials (BOM)

  • Month-end Reports experience highly desired

  • Foundational knowledge in Month-end Journal Entries

  • Experience with Time Series Analysis

  • Practical knowledge of Ad Hoc Reporting

  • Perform Ad Hoc Financial experience highly preferred

  • Good understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Month end closings experience

  • Background working with Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)

  • Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

  • Notable analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
