Robert Half Operations Manager in West Chester, Ohio

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an Operations Manager position in the biopharmaceutical industry located in West Chester, Ohio. The successful candidate will take on important responsibilities in managing procurement and inventory processes, optimizing supply chain operations, and managing financial aspects related to these areas.

Responsibilities:

• Designing and executing procurement strategies that effectively align with the organization's growth objectives and budgetary constraints.

• Establishing and maintaining relationships with key suppliers, submitting RFQs, and negotiating favorable terms and conditions for purchase contracts.

• Overseeing inventory planning, forecasting, and replenishment processes to maintain optimal stock levels.

• Implementing inventory control procedures to minimize excess stock, reduce waste, and ensure accuracy.

• Streamlining supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.

• Developing and managing the procurement and inventory budget, ensuring alignment with financial objectives.

• Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and inventory management.

• Working closely with cross-functional teams, including scientists and finance, to align supply chain activities with business goals.

• Identifying and mitigating supply chain risks and disruptions to maintain continuous operations.

• Implementing warehouse controls to protect inventory assets and optimize warehouse layout to improve inventory flow.

Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential

• Profound knowledge of various ERP Solutions is required

• Demonstrable experience with budget processes is necessary

• Excellent communication skills are expected

• Familiarity with compliance regulations and standards is mandatory

• Proven experience in procurement is a must

• Hands-on experience in procurement activities is expected

• Comprehensive understanding of buying processes is required
