Robert Half Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in WEST DES MOINES, Iowa

Description Our reputable client is seeking a FP& A Manager to join the company. The ideal candidate will have deep analytical capabilities, strong verbal and writing skills, and the ability to multitask and work under multiple tight deadlines at once. Key responsibilities

  • Aid in regulatory filings

  • Address and improve strategic issues by working in cross-functional development teams

  • Test fiscal and budget assumptions in the development of operating plans

  • Arrange financial models and data mining tools for variance analysis

  • Engage with staff by recruiting, selecting, training, evaluating, and retaining employees

  • Conduct financial analysis and valuation related to mergers and acquisitions

  • Provide key financial analysis to enable both day-to-day and strategic decisions

  • Supervise financial analysis and developing short- and long-term financial forecasts

  • Oversee and manage financial planning team operations

  • Produce key financial analysis to support strategic and day-to-day decisions

  • Support financial deliverables to the executive team

  • Analyze financials for the forecasting and corporate budgeting processes

  • Estimate costs of operating plans and then develop budget and forecasts during the annual budget development cycle Requirements - Excellent influencing and interpersonal skills

  • Previous experience with computer software, including writing macros in Excel, Access, financial Modeling and other accounting packages

  • Strong business acumen required

  • Superb qualitative and quantitative skills

  • Must be excellent at communicating and building relationships

  • Able to analyze complex business problems, propose effective solutions and understand and apply business vision and direction

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field is required

  • 8+ years of experience in FP& A required

  • MBA, CPA, CFA, or other relevant certifications are a plus

  • 2+ years of FP& A supervisory/leadership experience
