The Product Content Strategist/Writer is responsible for brainstorming, and transforming
ideas into words, to support the delivery of annuity product marketing campaigns,
writing, editing, or rewriting various external communication pieces (brochures,
postcards, letters, etc.) in a clear and easy to understand manner consistent with the
Identify and create the narrative around each of our products that aids in understanding
Brainstorms and develops differentiating ideas, transforms these ideas into powerful
and effective written communications.
Collaborates with multiple teams to deliver high quality, accurate content that is
consistent with our brand guidelines.
Ensures full understanding of relevant insights and agent/employee segmentations
and targets that will lead to engaging and powerful communications; makes the most
of communications materials from a content perspective.
Gathers key business insights and applies strategic thinking to create short and long-
term vision for compelling and branded content.
Writes website content, emails, postcards, letters, brochures, and other agent/ NMO
Writes brochures and other communications for existing or potential employees.
Writes brochures and other communications for contract holders.
Writes brochures, press releases, and other communication to the public.
Rewrites/updates existing brochures as necessary.
Partners with graphics designers to deliver outstanding communications.
Works with outside vendors for printing and other communication activities and
internal partners for various projects.
Performs other related work as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university in journalism,
communications or related field of study; and four years of related experience; or
equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Preferred knowledge of annuity principles and products
Requires knowledge of Microsoft Office programs as well as possess excellent written
Knowledge of AP writing style.
Strong ability to translate strategic ideas to verbal and written form and ability to
Exceptional writing skills.
An effective collaborator who knows how to network and build effective relationships
across company departments.
Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers.
Requirements - Expertise in crafting, analyzing and fixing large-scale distributed systems
A reliable understanding of HTTP traffic, content delivery and caching
Working knowledge of clustered and virtual storage solutions
Network operating systems knowledge - as well as knowledge of programming or scripting language - is highly valued
Quality experience with Brand Strategy
Ad copywriting experience
