Robert Half Sr. Auditor in West Haven, Connecticut

Description

We are in search of a Sr. Auditor to join our team in West Haven, Connecticut. This role falls within the telecom industry, where you will be expected to conduct fieldwork, multitask, work within a team setting, and supervise audit staff. You will also be tasked with planning and executing audit fieldwork, reviewing engagement working papers, and preparing financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fieldwork for audits, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy.

• Collaborate effectively within an audit team and supervise audit staff when necessary.

• Exhibit strong multitasking skills in order to balance multiple projects simultaneously.

• Plan and execute audit fieldwork, adhering to internal standards and industry regulations.

• Review engagement working papers, ensuring all data is accurate and comprehensive.

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with GAAP accounting principles.

• Research and resolve technical GAAP issues as they arise.

• Meet all set deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.

• Contribute to team development with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Travel for audits as needed, always ensuring safety and compliance.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Audit Program, Business systems, and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Solid understanding of Audit Findings, Auditing, Compliance, and Documentation

• Experience in Internal Audit and Financial Statement preparation

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles

• Familiarity with Audit Engagements.

Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in auditing or a similar role

• Proficient in Audit Program, Business Systems, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to interpret and analyze Audit Findings

• Strong understanding of Auditing standards and procedures

• Familiarity with Compliance regulations and guidelines

• Experience with Documentation processes in auditing

• Proven experience in conducting Internal Audits

• Ability to analyze and interpret Financial Statements

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting principles and practices

• Experience in managing Audit Engagements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Excellent communication and report writing skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and auditing software

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly

• Willingness to stay updated with industry and regulatory changes

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
