Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in West Hollywood, California

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team for a Production company on a temp-to-hire basis. This role is essential in maintaining the financial health of our operations and ensuring smooth payment processes. The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable functions. This includes processing invoices, ensuring timely payments, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Processing:

  • Review, verify, and process invoices for accuracy and completeness.

  • Code invoices to appropriate general ledger accounts.

  • Payment Processing:

  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.

  • Handle check runs, wire transfers, and ACH payments.

  • Reconciliation:

  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions.

  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.

  • Vendor Management:

  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies and payment issues.

  • Maintain vendor files and records.

  • Reporting:

  • Prepare accounts payable reports and analyses.

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

  • Assist with internal and external audits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounts payable experience, preferably within the entertainment industry.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.

  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and best practices.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
