Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in West Hollywood, California
Description
Key Responsibilities:
Process Vendor Invoices: Accurately review and process invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals and coding to correct accounts.
Payment Processing: Handle payment runs (check, ACH, wire transfers), ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors.
Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling accounts payable ledgers, ensuring accurate recording of expenses and payables.
Vendor Management: Maintain positive vendor relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving discrepancies, and negotiating payment terms when necessary.
Expense Reports: Review and process employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.
Month-End Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing AP-related journal entries and reconciling accounts.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of invoices, payments, and vendor information in the accounting system.
Compliance: Ensure AP processes comply with company policies, internal controls, and legal requirements.
Special Projects: Assist with various accounting projects and system implementations as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience: 2+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably within the advertising, media, or creative industries.
Education: Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
Attention to Detail: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with vendors and internal teams.
Team Player: Willingness to contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist with various tasks as needed.
Problem Solving: Ability to troubleshoot discrepancies and propose solutions in a timely manner.
