Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced contract Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a strong background in accounting principles and practices. This position will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and reporting for our organization. Responsibilities: Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable/receivable, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance. Reconcile bank statements and other financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness of records. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for review by management. Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights and analysis as needed. Support the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Collaborate with other departments to gather financial data and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned by management. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required. 3-5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably within education or non-profit sectors. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines. Experience with non-profit accounting standards and regulations is a plus.
