Description

We are searching for a meticulous and experienced Senior Internal Auditor to join our financial services client. In this role, you will be responsible for directing audit fieldwork, supervising staff on audit assignments, and executing audit planning processes. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily progress of audit fieldwork and supervise assigned staff on audit assignments.

• Execute the audit planning process, including risk assessment, to determine the frequency and scope of future audit work.

• Develop and update audit programs, maintaining technical and audit skills.

• Manage the progress of fieldwork, including organizing, delegating, and controlling work assignments.

• Review work papers to ensure compliance with established standards and the existence of adequate supporting documentation for the audit work completed.

• Prepare audit reports for review, adhering to established report writing standards.

• Discuss audit findings, recommendations, and corrective actions with management.

• Conduct meetings with management upon commencement and completion of the audit to discuss scope and significant audit issues.

• Develop meaningful recommendations for management to improve the efficiency of controls and operations.

• Perform special assignments as requested, commensurate with areas of general and specialized knowledge.

Requirements

• Competence in Application controls, Audit Findings, Auditing, Compliance, and Documentation

• Proven track record in a senior auditing role within the Financial Services industry

• Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong problem-solving abilities

• High level of integrity and professional ethics

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
