Robert Half Tax Manager in West Palm Beach, Florida

Description We are in search of a Tax Manager based in West Palm Beach, Florida. This role is a contract position within the telecom industry. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from tax compliance to strategic planning and research. The role also involves managing mergers and acquisitions transactions and providing consultative tax guidance to businesses.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of US income tax compliance and quarterly estimated tax payments

• Assist in the preparation of consolidated US GAAP tax provision for the US group

• Handle tax aspects for internal and external M& A transactions and conduct tax due diligence for potential US companies

• Design and implement tax planning strategies

• Conduct detailed US tax research and analysis

• Develop, train, and mentor staff on all aspects of tax compliance, tax research, and planning

• Manage tax controversies - represent the company before any tax authority and respond to all questions from federal or state agencies

• Provide consultative tax guidance to US businesses

• Manage basis and E& P for US investments

Skills:

• Proficient with Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Familiar with Accounting Functions and Compliance

• Experience with Entity Formation and Income Tax Accounting

• Knowledge of GAAP Accounting and US GAAP

• Experience in Tax Accounting

• Experience with Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A) and Due Diligence

• Proficient in MS Office (Excel) and large data management Requirements • Must have a minimum of one year of experience in a tax management role

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Proven experience with Compliance processes and procedures

• Familiarity with Entity Formation

• Experience in Income Tax Accounting

• Proficient in GAAP Accounting and US GAAP

• Experience in Tax Accounting

• Knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions (M& A)

• Experience performing Due Diligence

• Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field preferred
