Description

If you're looking for work as a Full Charge Bookkeeper with a heavy emphasis on Payroll and Accounts Payable in the Healthcare, Hospitals, Social Assistance industry, you might be the candidates Robert Half is looking for to prepare and process financial statements and accounts and manage all general accounting and bookkeeping essential functions. To succeed in this position, you will need excellent organizational skills, strong communication tactics, and have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines. This long-term contract / temporary to hire position.

How you will make an impact

  • Handling all aspects of Payroll

  • Preparing the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and statements regarding income and cash flows

  • Tracking fixed assets and constructing depreciation schedules

  • Managing accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable; handling collections as needed

  • Carefully filing documents to preserve historical records

  • Handling reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, and processing payroll

  • Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

    Requirements

  • Experience with Payroll required. Experience with Paylocity preferred.

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • Aptitude for analyzing financial data and generating accurate reports in a timely manner

  • Highly organized and self-motivated

  • Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments

  • 3+ years of experience in the bookkeeping field

  • Able to work independently with a minimal amount of oversight

    • Earlier work involving Excel, QuickBooks
  • High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

  • Proficient in accrual and cash basis of accounting

  • Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical

  • Solid understanding of full charge bookkeeping

  • Paylocity experience preferred

  • Strong familiarity with HR Payroll System
