Robert Half Help Desk Analyst I in WESTERVILLE, Ohio


Robert Half is hiring for a Help Desk Analyst—the partner is a growing company, and needs someone to support local and field users. As a Help Desk Analyst, you must have a passion for solving problems in a dynamic and rapidly-changing work environment. Due to this Help Desk Analyst role being very visible within the company, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the department and organization. This Help Desk Analyst role is based in the Westerville, Ohio area and is a long-term contract / temporary to hire opportunity.

Your responsibilities

  • Independently investigate and implement solutions to technical issues

  • Provide IT assistance for operating systems, productivity software, and a variety of other software applications used internally

  • Reply and follow up on technical help tickets submitted via phone, email, and walk-ups

  • Troubleshoot recurring technical issues and suggest solutions to address the root of the problems

Requirements - Practical knowledge in installing and configuring operating systems, networked and local printers, and business applications

  • IT support ticketing system experience highly valued

  • Ability to simplify complex problems and build solutions

  • 2+ years of prior experience

  • Microsoft Windows Server experience

  • Practical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Mobile OS

  • Microsoft Windows experience

  • Earlier work involving Networking

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 experience highly desired

  • General familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server 2003

  • Background working with PowerShell

  • Previous experience working with Wireless Networking

  • Microsoft Windows Server OS experience

  • MS Windows 10 experience highly preferred

  • Adeptness in MS Windows Server 2012

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows

  • Good understanding of Networking+

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows XP 2004

  • User administration and bug fixing in a client-server environment

  • Familiarity with basic networking concepts
