Robert Half Business Product Analyst in Westlake, Ohio
Description We are in the service industry, based in WESTLAKE, Ohio, and we're currently on the lookout for a Business Product Analyst to join our team. This role will involve a strong focus on business system analysis, requiring a deep understanding of technical solutions and their alignment with business needs.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a bridge between the technical and business aspects of the system, ensuring that the developed solutions meet business needs.
• Document high-level designs, including architecture requirements, and ensure they map to approved requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, sponsors, and IT to define and document relevant business processes.
• Lead and motivate a cross-functional team of business analysts, developers, testers, and others to align with product or program roadmaps.
• Manage, prioritize, and assess the impact of all work items like new features, defects, etc., including the decision to create, fix, or defer at the project level.
• Review, accept or decline the output of development to ensure specified acceptance criteria have been met.
• Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and retrospective meetings.
• Act as a project manager when necessary, taking responsibility for managing dependencies.
• Collaborate effectively within multiple evolving development methodologies including iterative Agile and sequential Waterfall projects.
• Assist with project-level plans related to schedule, scope, and resources.
• Manage integrated functionality, usability, reliability, performance, and support requirements of a system.
• Elicit and document requirements from business owners/subject matter experts for new and existing products and/or applications.
• Facilitate meetings and design discussions with on and offshore development teams.
• Track and report project metrics/timelines.
• Manage several different products/applications/work streams.
Applicants are expected to have skills in Business Analysis, SQL Database, and Crystal Reports. Requirements • Proficient in Business Analysis with a deep understanding of evaluating and redesigning business models and processes.
• Possess strong skills in SQL Database, including managing, setting up, and querying databases.
• Ability to create, manage, and maintain Crystal Reports.
• Strong analytical skills to effectively analyze business data and develop strategies based on analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly convey information to stakeholders and team members.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing projects with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
• Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field is preferred.
• Relevant work experience in Business Analysis or related field is advantageous.
• Familiarity with service industry procedures and best practices.
• Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Understanding of project management principles.
