Description
We are seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a property management company based in the San Fernando Valley. In this strategic role, you will act as a bridge between IT and various business units—ensuring that IT services and infrastructure are aligned with organizational goals. You will lead IT-driven initiatives, optimize financial processes, and identify opportunities to enhance business operations through technology.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Liaison & Project Management:
Serve as the principal liaison between IT and the Accounting department, translating business needs into IT requirements.
Ensure IT projects align with business objectives and deliver measurable value.
Supervise IT-driven initiatives across departments, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to manage system implementations and resolve technical issues.
Process Optimization & Automation:
Analyze current accounting workflows to identify areas for automation and improvement.
Maximize the use of existing technology platforms while identifying opportunities to modernize outdated or inefficient processes.
Develop and implement workflow enhancements, system updates, and process improvements.
Technical Solutions & Data Management:
Leverage advanced technical skills in Excel, SQL, and Power BI to create customized solutions for financial data management and analysis.
Partner with IT teams and vendors to design, implement, and support innovative IT solutions.
Monitor and report on the performance of implemented systems and recommend enhancements.
Training & Documentation:
Collaborate with the Training team to develop user guides, job aids, and system documentation to support system adoption and navigation.
Provide training and support to the Accounting team to ensure smooth transitions during system updates and process changes.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business systems and IT solutions.
Evaluate the feasibility and impact of new technologies and systems, advising leadership on opportunities to drive business growth and efficiency.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or IT Business Partner role, with a focus on Accounting or Financial processes.
Proven experience managing cross-departmental IT projects from concept to completion.
Strong technical expertise in Excel, SQL, and Power BI for financial data analysis and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements and automation solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business language.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with ERP systems and financial software integrations.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Familiarity with industry-specific best practices and system enhancements.
