Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Westlake Village, California

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the industry, located in Westlake Village, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to banking and budgets. With a keen eye for data accuracy and process optimization, you will play a crucial role in setting up the processes that will scale with the company into the future.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting transactions and business operations.

• Carry out regular reporting on actuals versus plans.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable reconciliations and provide executive reporting.

• Guarantee timely bank payments and maintain clear communication with vendors and customers.

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including reconciliations and Journal Entries.

• Publish financial statements in a timely manner.

• Oversee balance sheet and profit/loss statements.

• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity.

• Manage the company's credit card program and reporting.

• Ensure accurate inventory and leased asset accounting.

• Support and enhance corporate purchasing processes.

• Oversee master data in ERP system for customer and supplier records.

• Optimize accounting systems and processes.

• Collaborate with external partners to manage tax accounting.

• Oversee annual audit process with external partners.

• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and oversee accounting backup records.

• Assist the company in complying with financial policies and regulations.

• Provide administrative support for office management tasks as needed. Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the accounting field.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations is required.

• Experience with General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries is essential.

• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel is necessary for data management and analysis.

• Experience with Month End Close procedures is crucial for this role.

• Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software is highly desirable.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are necessary.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is preferred.

• Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
