Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Wexford, Pennsylvania
Description Robert Half is trying to fill an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position with an organization that offers a stimulating work environment among a team of experienced, motivated professionals. Attending to the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department, this role works closely with and reports to the Accounting Manager. Matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks will be the main focus points in this role. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Wexford, Pennsylvania area and will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire position.
What you get to do every single day
Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling
Carry out a full-cycle A/P
Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners
Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience preferred
Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
