Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity in the Local Government Industry, based in Wheaton, Illinois, for an Accounting Manager. In this role, you will be handling various financial projects, managing reporting activities, and facilitating the budget process.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinating the budget process, ensuring financial forecasts are accurate and timely.

• Handling ad hoc financial analysis projects, providing key insights for decision making.

• Overseeing management reporting, ensuring accurate and comprehensive financial information is delivered to stakeholders.

• Utilizing Great Plains Dynamics for managing financial operations and reporting.

• Managing the backfill of Accounting Manager role, ensuring seamless transition and continuity.

• Ensuring all financial data and records are maintained accurately and updated as needed.

• Participating in presentations related to budgeting and financial reporting, communicating financial information effectively to all relevant parties. Requirements • The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of experience in the field of accounting, preferably within the local government sector.

• Proficiency in Ad Hoc Financial Analysis is highly desired, as the role frequently requires spontaneous and complex financial investigations.

• Experience with Budgeting and Forecasting is essential, as the role involves making financial predictions and planning budgets for various government departments.

• A strong understanding and ability to conduct Management Reporting is needed, as the Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparing and presenting financial reports to senior officials.

• Familiarity with Great Plains Dynamics is a significant advantage, as this software is commonly used within our financial operations.
