Robert Half, a premier recruiting firm, is partnering with a reputable law firm specializing in estate planning in Wheaton, IL, to seek an experienced Legal Secretary. The individual will support attorneys with the estate planning process and ensure smooth operations within the firm.
Job Responsibilities: Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents related to estate planning such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and deeds. Manage and organize case files effectively and maintain confidentiality. Schedule meetings, appointments, and court dates, ensuring no schedule conflicts. Assist with client communications, receive and relay correspondences. Conduct factual research and compile information accordingly. Handle administrative tasks including phone calls, billing, and reporting. Support attorneys in court proceedings, client meetings, and depositions if necessary. Requirements Qualifications: Proven experience as a legal secretary, preferably within estate planning. Familiarity with estate planning laws and regulations in Illinois. Proficiency in legal software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Exceptional multitasking and typewriting abilities.
