Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in White Bear Lake, Minnesota
Description Are you an enterprising, experienced, and passionate about accounting? Robert Half is seeking an Accounting Manager for an immediate hire for a respectable company that is quickly expanding. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Ideally, you will be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. Located in the White Bear Lake, Minnesota area, this Accounting Manager position would be on a permanent basis.
Major responsibilities
Work alongside FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Assist in preparing GAAP financial statements, which includes data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Drive and manage the full accounting team performance of the close process to meet close deadlines
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Periodically review and inspect the balance sheets and income statement accounts of Senior Accountants
Possessing a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes designing systems and processes, migrating data, testing, training, and administrating Requirements - Strong problem-solving skills
Solid technical skills
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
Strong familiarity with Grant Administration
Experience with grant writing
Government Grants experience
Grant Management experience
Grant accounting experience
Adeptness in Post-grant
