Robert Half Sr. Accountant in White Bear Lake, Minnesota
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in White Bear Lake, Minnesota. The selected candidate will be actively involved in maintaining our financial records, including receipts, sales and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed account reconciliations and ensure accuracy.
• Handle the strong month end close process.
• Execute cost accounting procedures in the manufacturing sector.
• Improve existing accounting processes for enhanced efficiency.
• Generate and present financial reports to stakeholders.
• Utilize software such as Microsoft Excel and SAP to maintain, analyze, and present financial data.
• Prepare and record journal entries for transactions.
• Balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain and manage general ledger activities. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Manufacturing industry.
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations.
• Detailed understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Month End Close procedures.
• Knowledge and experience with SAP software.
• Understanding and experience with Cost Accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently.
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt to changes in the work environment, manage competing demands and able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
