Robert Half Sr. Financial Analyst in White Plains, New York

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Sr. Accounting Analyst in the Logistics industry, located in White Plains, New York. This role involves financial analysis, data management, and coordination with various stakeholders. The workplace requires two days in office (Mondays & Tuesdays only). This is a consulting to potential full-time position.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with external auditors and finance personnel for accounting reports and data analysis

• Supervise the Month-End Close process to ensure accurate accounting including prepaid, accrued liability, and direct expenses

• Develop and maintain invoice account coding process for all invoices

• Liaise closely with vendors to obtain and verify all invoice supporting documentation

• Perform analysis to ensure accurate expense recognition in accordance with GAAP

• Assist the Manager, Finance-Ground Operations with annual/semi-annual budget

• Analyze large groups of data for reporting and budget needs as requested

• Undertake special projects as directed by the management

• Ensure the accurate processing of customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the logistics industry.

• Proficiency in financial analysis and financial reporting.

• Thorough understanding and experience with US GAAP.

• Experience with Roll Forwards and Support Documentation.

• Ability to handle high-volume invoicing.

• Familiarity with month-end close processes.

• Proficient in managing financial data and invoice data.

• Experience with expense reporting.

• Must have the ability to work independently and in a team.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
