Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join a public sector entity in Fort Worth, TX. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a vital role in managing the procurement of goods and services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate records to support the efficient operation of government agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement of Goods and Services: Source, evaluate, and select vendors to provide goods or services required by government agencies. Ensure the best value in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including budgetary and spending limits.

  • Recordkeeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procurement transactions, contracts, and correspondence. Manage purchase orders, invoices, receipts, and contract documents.

  • Purchase Order Processing: Create and process purchase orders, track order statuses, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Collaboration with Internal Departments: Work with various government departments to identify procurement needs, plan future purchases, and ensure timely fulfillment of required materials and services.

  • Reporting and Auditing: Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, budget spending, and vendor performance for government officials or auditors. Assist with internal and external audits by providing relevant documentation and information.

    Requirements • Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Experience in handling Budget Processes

• Knowledge of Buying Processes

• Excellent Customer Service skills

• Familiarity with Invoice processing

• Proficiency in Tyler Technologies Munis and InCode

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field

• Proven experience in a similar role within the procurement industry

• Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures

• Ability to work in a team and independently

• Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices

• Strong organizational and planning skills.
