Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Whites Creek, Tennessee
Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Whites Creek, Tennessee. This role will start out part time for 90 days before transitioning to full time hours. The primary function of this role is to handle accounts payable tasks, including the usage of various accounting software systems, and to provide month-end assistance. The work environment will be detail-oriented and highly organized, with a focus on maintaining accurate financial records and resolving discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
• Use accounting software systems like Sage Intacct for accurate data entry and check processing.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for efficient management and analysis of accounts payable data.
• Handle all aspects of accounts payable functions, ensuring all financial information is correctly recorded.
• Assist with month-end procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed within the defined timeline.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies in accounts payable, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
• Monitor and manage customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records.
• Resolve customer credit inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments.
Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role such as Accounts Payable Specialist or related field
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential
• Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Demonstrable experience with Accounting Functions and Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of Check Processing procedures
• Strong Data Entry skills are required
• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancy issues in accounts
• Familiarity with Sage Intacct software is a plus
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
